The time issue has to do with the Wordpress hosting system, I believe. I am in Pennsylvania myself and find the time stamping a bit confusing too. Since, as I told Emma Peel, I'm not sure how long roll-out will take or how long or whether we will maintain the same hosting or upgrade, I haven't taken much time to get to know the platform's internal time system because I don't know how long we'll be using it. We're in the early stages of startup (the very early stages) and are trying to concentrate on the basics. The time system is not one of them.

One thing I do notice that's off about this site is that when I post, it's telling me a different time. I'm in Seattle (the heart of indie music, baby!) and I'm posting this at 8am. As you'll see, the website is saying I posted at a different time. Is that a glitch we could have fixed?

Ah! Now I see why you removed my post, Mr. Hessinger. I was just commenting more on what Hot for Twat said, but I see your point. I'll think of some better (and clean) ways to generate money.

Couple of posts on this so I'll get right to the point. The network we're talking about will have a large variety of subjects (some user driven) including the ones discussed in our ideas post, but absolutely no adult material. The reasons why are multiple. First, whether we stay with an upgraded version of our current host or move to a new one, the majority DO NOT ALLOW ADULT CONTENT under any circumstances. Besides this, the majority of companies we hope to partner with to monetize the network to generate revenue to pay for that hosting do not allow it. Sites that do allow adult material generally do just that and nothing else, and I see no particular value at the moment in launching yet another purely adult Internet site. The Internet is full of them already. Finally, the majority of online communities from MySpace to MyBlogLog and beyond do not permit the material pretty much eliminating any way to promote the network outside of a series of purely adult community sites. Visitors to those sites would by and large be completely uninterested in the rest of our content, again kind of eliminating all but an adult market. Those seeking this material are simply better off looking for it at one of the many aforementioned sites and communities already available.

It'll depend on a couple of factors. One is time and participation. Another is arranging some more versatile hosting either here or elsewhere.

Great new idea! I'm looking forward to sticking around and seeing where this goes. How long of a rollout are you expecting on this?

Yeah, great idea. I think we'll likely bbe able to start with links to reviews and then with any luck generate more original content. Actually, doing the occasional review was one of the reasons I first got into the newspaper business!
